We had heard about this place before staying in Lake City and wanted to try it for a while. I would call the decor "rustic," but what you would expect in a small city, and outdoor seating is available, even in the mornings. The pizza was excellent, and the large was HUGE-- a couple pizzas and our four teens were well sated. The breakfast was good as well, the coffee good, and the re-ordering process was not a problem, not really different from asking for a second plate from the server at your table. IDK what the other commentator was thinking unless he/she was looking for a McDonalds in the mountains! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The pizza and calzones at Poker Alice are great! My wife and I have eaten there whenever we are in Lake City since 2008 and it is always excellent. The service is friendly, but the place is a bit small inside. They have wonderful outdoor seating however to offset the cramped indoor space and who wouldn't love seating outdoors to eat in the San Juans? We have only had the pizza and calzones but I hear they also have a great breakfast and sandwiches! We enthusiastically recommend them!

Interesting location for a pizza place, was a lucky find for us. The service is great, the waiting time is super long. The food tasted very good! The time we went, soda machine was down. I imagine is hard to find parts to fix it in that town. It was a unique experience.
